The BCO is a “Players Tournament” and the draws will be tough. Your rating at the time of registration is what we will use for this event. We will NOT accept rating adjustment requests!

Due to high demand in most Amateur Events, we will only offer 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 & 5.0 skill levels. We strongly recommend that you don’t play up more than .5 in a skill level. Players moved off the waitlists will be done randomly.

Please note that you will not be able to play in more than 3 events, one amateur singles, doubles and mixed doubles event, even if they are on different days. That is a limit of 3 amateur events.  If it’s discovered that you are registered for more than one you will have to choose which one you want to play!

NEW! A Grounds Pass will be required to enter the Pickleball Facility on days of MLP Matches. Players and Volunteers will get passes for the days they play or volunteer only.

Format/Rules

ALL GAMES ARE WIN BY 2

Doubles Events:

Single Elimination with Consolation for all divisions of 6 or more.  Amateur brackets will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 in the Winners Bracket and 1 game to 15 in all the Consolation Bracket.  However, the Bronze Medal Match will be 2 out of 3 games to 11. This is the same format used by the US OPEN.

Round Robin for divisions with 5 or less teams.  Divisions with 1 to 3 teams will be combined with another division at our discretion; however, we will not combine skill levels or run a draw with less than 4 entrants, unless absolutely necessary. The format will be one game to 15 or 21.  If necessary, we may run a RR 2 of 3 games to 11.

You must play at the skill level of the higher rated player, or above.  If you are not rated, we reserve the right to move you to a higher bracket if we deem it appropriate. Where age is used to form brackets, it is the age of the younger partner.

Senior Pro Divisions will not have a come around format. We will play the US Open format. Senior Pro Gold & Bronze Medal Matches will be 2 of 3 games to 11.

Singles Events

All singles divisions will play 1 game to 15 in either Single Elimination with Consolation or Round Robin formats. This includes all Medal Matches as well.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make changes to any bracket format, at any time, for any reason including weather.
